The reinforced OUTMAR PE tarpaulin protects your boat from rain, snow and dirt when stored outdoors over winter. The UV-stabilised material is tear-resistant, waterproof and translucent white. This allows daylight to pass through the cover – practical when you want to carry out work on deck or inside the boat during winter storage.
Reinforced edges and corrosion-resistant brass eyelets spaced every 50 cm allow you to secure the tarpaulin safely and evenly. The closely spaced eyelets give you greater flexibility when tensioning the cover and help distribute the load more evenly along its edges.
For reliable coverage, we recommend using a suitable boat cover frame. It supports the tarpaulin, creates an adequate slope and helps rainwater drain away. This reduces water pooling, which can place unnecessary strain on the cover and its fastening points. Larger accumulations of snow should be removed regularly.
Condensation may form underneath a waterproof PE tarpaulin. As the material is not breathable, sufficient air circulation is essential. For example, leave part of the cover open around the bow and stern or use suitable ventilation elements.

Frequently asked questions
Which size do I need for my boat?
The tarpaulin should fully cover your boat and its cover frame, with sufficient material extending down both sides. When selecting the size, consider the boat’s length, width and height as well as the cover frame and the additional material required for fastening.
How should I secure the tarpaulin?
Tension the tarpaulin evenly over your boat using suitable lines and/or elastic tie-downs. Use as many of the brass eyelets as possible. As they are spaced every 50 cm, the load can be distributed more evenly and individual fastening points are subjected to less strain.
For the bow and stern areas, we recommend using HOLDON Midi Clip tarp clips / tarp tensioners. They allow you to add extra fastening points without making holes in the material.
At the bow, the clips allow you to close the tarpaulin without a continuous line pulling the material together. At the stern, you can create an easily accessible closure that can be opened and closed quickly when required. This allows you to access the boat without removing the entire cover.
Why should I use a boat cover frame?
A boat cover frame supports the tarpaulin and creates a slope that allows rainwater to drain away. This helps prevent water pooling and reduces the load placed on the cover, eyelets and fastening points.
How can I reduce condensation and help prevent mould?
Maintain continuous air circulation underneath the cover. For example, leave openings around the bow and stern. The tarpaulin should protect the boat without sealing it completely airtight.
Is the tarpaulin waterproof?
Yes. The coated PE fabric is waterproof. To ensure that water drains away and does not collect on the cover, tension the tarpaulin securely with an adequate slope over a suitable boat cover frame.
