T-Connectors

T-connectors are used to connect a continuous tube with a branching tube. In cover frames, they are primarily used to connect the telescopic supports to the continuous ridge tube. This creates a stable connection between the upper longitudinal tube of the frame and the supports that hold the ridge tube above the boat. Depending on the construction and tube system, different tube diameters and connector designs are used. In addition to building new cover frames, T-connectors are also suitable for repairing and extending existing frames as well as for custom tube constructions on board – for example equipment carriers, support structures for solar panels or masts for mounting solar panels.

Different Materials and Designs

In this category, you will find T-connectors made from die-cast aluminium, aluminium and stainless steel. Depending on the design, the tubes are clamped or bolted together. Some T-connectors join tubes of the same diameter, while others are designed to connect tubes with different diameters. This makes it possible, for example, to connect a larger-diameter mast to a smaller-diameter cross tube.

When selecting a T-connector, pay particular attention to the specified tube diameters and the type of connection.

T-Connectors in Cover Frames

The ridge tube of a cover frame generally runs lengthwise and approximately along the centre of the boat. Depending on the frame design, the telescopic supports attached to it extend to the boat's rail, pulpit or pushpit, deck or another suitable support point. T-connectors form the connection between the ridge tube and the telescopic supports. By combining the appropriate tubes, connectors and adjustable supports, the cover frame can be adapted to the shape and dimensions of the individual boat.
