Telescopic Deck Supports for Deck Frames
Telescopic deck supports provide lateral support for the ridge tube running along the centre of the boat. Their adjustable length allows them to accommodate different boat widths, deck heights and structures, creating stable support points for the deck frame and the cover above it.
Depending on the boat, the deck supports are positioned on the coachroof, side deck, cockpit floor or other sufficiently strong areas of the deck. At the upper end, the support is connected to the ridge tube using a T-connector.
As deck supports normally run at an angle from the raised ridge tube down to the deck, the foot needs to compensate for the angle between the support and the surface below. Depending on the version, plastic feet or movable swivel feet are available. A swivel foot adjusts to the angle of the support, allowing the foot to rest as evenly as possible on the deck. It can also compensate for sloping deck surfaces.
The deck supports are suitable for NOA A-Frames, Deck Frames and Overhang Frames as well as OUTMAR Deck Frames. They can be used when building a new deck frame, adding extra support points to an existing frame or replacing an existing support.
Depending on the frame configuration, individual deck supports or pairs of supports are available. This allows the support arrangement to be adapted to the shape, size and layout of the boat.
Before positioning a support, check that the intended surface is sufficiently strong and suitable for supporting the load.
