Motorboat Deck Frames for Winter Covers
No two motorboats have quite the same deck layout. Windscreens, cockpits, cabin structures and flybridges vary considerably, as do the available railings, handrails and options for securely supporting a deck frame. This means that a standard deck frame cannot always be used on every motorboat without modification.
OUTMAR configures deck frames to suit different types of motorboats. Depending on the boat, we use a proven NOA A-Frame, Deck Frame or Overhang Frame as the basis and add the components required for the individual installation. If none of the standard frames suits the boat's layout, we configure the complete deck frame from individual tubes, telescopic supports, cross braces, tube connectors and fittings.
Designed to suit your motorboat
The key is to provide reliable support for the boat cover while creating sufficient slope for water to run off. In many configurations, the ridge tube forms the highest line of the frame. Telescopic supports and cross braces stabilise the structure and allow it to be adapted to different deck heights and boat widths.
The components required depend on the individual motorboat. Existing railings, handrails and suitable areas of the deck can be incorporated into the structure. Tube lengths and the number and position of the supports can therefore be adapted to the shape and layout of the boat. Existing NOA Deck Frames can also be extended with additional components.
Aluminium instead of a timber frame
Our deck frames are made primarily from aluminium tubes and matching connectors and fittings. The structures are lightweight, corrosion-resistant and can be dismantled after winter and stored compactly. Individual components can be added when required or reused if the frame configuration is changed.
We can help you configure your deck frame
Not sure which configuration is suitable for your motorboat? Simply email us photos of your boat, the key measurements and a short description of the existing railings and deck structures.
We will check whether one of the standard NOA Deck Frames provides a suitable basis or configure the components required for an individual OUTMAR solution.
