Keep the tarpaulin in place with the help of water bags around the boat. Fill them with water and hang in the eyelets / grommet. It gives a flexible weight to the tarpaulin. Feel free to reinforce the eyelets with a sticker. Fill the 5 liter can with 4.5 liters of water. Do not overfill the can. There must be room for the water to expand when it freezes. The water weight bag will replace hard and bulky plastic cans, sandbags, buckets with stone etc. In the spring, the cans are emptied of water and folded together to less than 1/20 part of its size, store in the supplied mesh bag. Compare the small storage bag with 8 bags and several empty hard plastic cans (often from car flushing fluid or juice). The bag is made of "Food Grade Quality" and BPA-free which allows it to be used as a drinking water bag as well. Perfect for "preppers" who want some extra water at home. Never attach a tarpaulin directly to the supports to the boat. Use Bungee Cord for some extra flexibility when tied the cans.
