Boat Winterization - tips and advice

Whether you store your boat on boat cradles, a boat rack, or on a trailer, choose a place that is level and protected from the wind. Avoid places where water collects or places with dense vegetation that attract mice and vermin.
Boat props, boat racks and boat trestles: If you store your boat in a marina, check the maximum allowable load on boat supports and storage trestles. Make sure that the main weight is on the keel or hull supported by wood or a keel support, and not on the individual supports - this will prevent excessive point loads on the hull.
Deck Frames/Tarpaulin Frames: Choose a lightweight frame of the highest quality that will not cause damage to your boat or the tarpaulin - preferably aluminum. If you intend to work on your boat, one of our boathouses may be considered. Please ask for an individual offer based on your requirements.
