More clearance for your cover – better protection for both boat and tarpaulin.
The curved stern tube from NOA is specially designed for NOA Outlaying frame systems and creates a rounded stern extension that keeps the tarpaulin away from the transom. The main advantage: reduced friction between the cover and the hull. This helps prevent wear marks, dirt buildup, and typical rubbing damage at the stern, while also giving the frame system a clean and professional appearance.
The system consists of two curved Ø 25 mm tubes and one straight Ø 30 mm outer tube that slides into the existing overhang tubes. A practical advantage is that the curved tube can easily be shortened if required, allowing flexible adjustment to different boat widths.
How to determine the required width
Measure the width of the stern at deck level and add approx. 15 cm per side. This ensures sufficient clearance between the frame and the hull.
Customer feedback
“…we were initially skeptical whether the curved stern fitting would fit our existing outlaying frame, but we were pleasantly surprised how well it worked. Good thing we first ordered the 2 m version, because on our Hanse 29 we actually had to shorten it by another 30 cm. Now the cover stays nicely away from the stern, and we will probably spend much less time cleaning marks from the transom after winter storage.”
