Aerosol Fire Extinguisher for Boats & RVs | MAUS

The MAUS Xtin Klein is a compact aerosol fire extinguisher designed to tackle small fires in their initial stage. Instead of foam or extinguishing powder, it uses a potassium-based aerosol that interferes with the chemical reaction within the flame and interrupts the combustion process.

A major advantage on board is that the extinguishing agent leaves no extinguishing residue. This is particularly useful around engines, electrical equipment and sensitive installations. Unlike conventional powder or foam extinguishers, there is no extinguishing residue to remove from the engine compartment, electronics or interior after use.

Measuring only 242 mm in length and weighing approximately 480 g, the MAUS Xtin Klein can be stored in a compact and easily accessible location. It is particularly suitable for boats, yachts, RVs and campers, as well as cars, motorcycles, workshops, garages and kitchens.

For Small Fires on Board

RINA S.p.A. has certified the MAUS Xtin Klein for fire classes B and C:

• Fire class B: flammable liquids such as petrol and oil
• Fire class C: flammable gases such as propane, butane and other LPG gases

In addition, the MAUS Xtin Klein can tackle smaller Class A fires involving materials such as wood, paper and plastics, as well as smaller Class F fires involving cooking oils and fats. It is also suitable for small electrical fires.

The MAUS Xtin Klein is not suitable for extinguishing burning metals or glowing embers.

Quick and Easy to Use

To activate the unit, first remove the safety pin at the bottom. From an initial distance of approximately one metre, point the extinguisher at the base of the fire and press the start button.

The aerosol is discharged for approximately 9 seconds and has a range of up to 3 metres.

6-Year Service Life – Maintenance-Free

The MAUS Xtin Klein requires no maintenance during its service life. The manufacturer specifies a service life of 6 years from the date of manufacture and a 5-year warranty. The expiry date is marked directly on the unit.
