The TYRESÖSTÖTTAN LCFg steel boat stands provide a robust solution for storing sailing boats and other boats with steeply angled or V-shaped hulls ashore. The boat rests on suitable keel supports or timber blocks, which carry the main weight of the boat. The stands positioned on both sides of the hull keep the boat upright and prevent it from tipping sideways. Together with the keel supports, they form a stable storage system. When correctly installed, the system also keeps the boat stable during permitted work on deck.
Their angled construction makes the LCFg stands particularly suitable for sailing boats. They can also be used at the bow of motorboats where the hull has a pronounced V shape. The LCFg series is available in six heights and is suitable for boats up to approximately 18 m in length.
Each boat stand has a maximum load capacity of 1,500 kg. The trapezoidal thread with its large wing nut allows the height to be adjusted quickly and continuously. The pivoting hull pad adapts to the angle of the hull. Its profiled EPDM surface protects the hull against scratches and pressure marks while providing secure contact.
The hot-dip galvanized steel construction provides long-lasting corrosion protection. This makes the LCFg series suitable for private boat owners as well as regular use by boat clubs, marinas and boatyards.
The boat stands are easy to assemble and can be taken apart again after the winter storage season. This allows them to be transported and stored with less space.
Six heights available
- LCFg 80: 800–1,250 mm, weight approx. 16 kg
- LCFg 110: 1,100–1,550 mm, weight approx. 19 kg
- LCFg 130: 1,300–1,750 mm, weight approx. 21 kg
- LCFg 150: 1,500–1,950 mm, weight approx. 23 kg
- LCFg 170: 1,700–2,150 mm, weight approx. 25 kg
- LCFg 190: 1,900–2,350 mm, weight approx. 28 kg
All versions have a height adjustment range of approximately 450 mm.
Which stand height do I need?
GC Maskiner recommends the following calculation:
Boat draught + height of the keel support − approx. 25 cm = required stand height
For example, if your boat has a draught of 1.95 m and the keel rests on a 25 cm high support, the required stand height is approximately 1.95 m. The LCFg 170, with an adjustment range of 1.70 to 2.15 m, would be one possible choice for this height.
The calculated height is intended as a guide. Whenever possible, select a stand that does not require the spindle to be adjusted to the extreme end of its range and leaves sufficient room at the wing nut for further adjustment.
For sailing boats and V-shaped hull sections
The angled LCFg boat stands are suitable for sailing boats and other boats with steeply angled hull sections. On motorboats, they can be used particularly around the V-shaped bow.
For flat or only slightly angled hull sections, such as the stern of many motorboats, we recommend the straight LCMg boat stands. Depending on the hull shape, a combination of straight LCMg and angled LCFg stands may be appropriate.
How many boat stands are required?
As a general guideline, GC Maskiner normally recommends one pair of stands every 2.6 to 3.3 m. The number actually required depends on:
- length and weight of the boat
- hull shape and weight distribution
- height of the keel support
- ground conditions and exposure to wind
- height and size of any boat cover
If the mast remains stepped during winter storage, the manufacturer recommends using an additional pair of stands.
Securing the stands with chains
Each opposing pair of stands must be connected with a safety chain. The stands feature quick attachment points for this purpose. The chains keep the stands in their intended position and prevent them from moving outwards under load. They therefore play an important part in preventing the boat from tipping.
The required safety chains are not included and must be ordered separately.

Important installation information
The boat stands must be used together with correctly installed keel supports. The main weight of the boat must be carried by the keel. The side stands keep the boat upright and prevent it from tipping.
Store the boat only on firm, level and preferably sheltered ground. Position the stands as close as possible to a right angle to the hull and point them towards the boat’s centreline. Each opposing pair of stands must be connected using a suitable safety chain.
Do not attach a winter cover, rope or other equipment to the boat stands. In strong winds, this could transfer high pulling forces to the stands.
Only board the boat if the complete storage system has been correctly installed and secured and the operator of the storage facility permits work on board.
The final number and position of the stands must be selected according to the boat’s weight, length, hull shape and weight distribution as well as the conditions at the storage location. Please also observe the instructions provided by the boat manufacturer and your winter storage facility. If you have any questions, we will be happy to help.
Super Bootsstütze und 1a Service
Der Service von Outmar ist phantastisch!
Hab die Stützen im Netz bei Outmar entdeckt.
