The OUTILS OCEANS Turnbuckle Cover reliably covers turnbuckles, cotter pins and protruding metal parts. It protects sails and sheets against chafing and helps prevent lines from catching on cotter pins or sharp edges during manoeuvres. The flexible cover also reduces the risk of injury when working or moving around on deck.
The cover can be fitted to the standing rigging at any time. Unlike closed aluminium covers, the shroud does not need to be disconnected for installation. The lower hook-and-loop strap is secured around the chainplate or attachment point. The cover is then wrapped around the turnbuckle and closed using the hook-and-loop fastener running along its full height. It can be opened just as quickly when the turnbuckle needs to be inspected or adjusted.
The body is made from polyester fabric with a double-sided PVC coating. The binding and fastening strap are made from woven polypropylene.
