Shroud Protector Aluminium | Sail Chafe Protection

Shroud protectors effectively protect your sails and sheets from chafe on the shrouds. At the same time, they prevent sheets such as the jib sheet from getting caught during maneuvers. They are also highly useful when sailing with a spinnaker. On tight courses, the spinnaker sheet often runs along the shrouds – without protection, this can quickly cause wear.

Made from seawater-resistant aluminum and equipped with a plastic end cap, these protectors are durable and long-lasting.

Installation:

Installation is done shroud by shroud:

• Loosen the shroud
• Slide the protector onto the shroud
• Reattach the shroud
• Fit the end cap

Tip: Adjust the lower edge of the aluminum tube to match the angle at the chainplate if necessary – this ensures a clean and secure fit.
