ANKERPLEX Aluminium Anchor, ultra flat dismountable

An anchor that can be stowed flat and still provide a secure hold sounds unlikely - until you hold the ANKERPLEX®  in your hands, assemble it and realise that it is possible: It works! The ANKERPLEX® is a fascinating solution for an easily stowable main, spare or second anchor (kedge). The three interlocking plates (bracket, pole, fluke) can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily. The plates are secured by a shackle, to which the anchor chain and, if necessary, a trip line are also attached. We offer the ANKERPLEX® in three versions (of which the aluminum version can be selected above. The other versions can be found as individual items in the store):

• Aluminium with an AL-Mg alloy (AL5083 and AL5754), which provides adequate mechanical strength and durability with minimum weight - ideal for dinghies, kayaks, jet skis or bathing platforms and wherever not only stowage volume but also weight plays a role - e.g. racing yachts, dinghies, seaplanes...
• Galvanised steel - ideal for dinghies, kayaks and basically for any vessel as an inexpensive second anchor. It can be stowed small and flat and can be quickly assembled or disassembled if necessary. The reduced protection against rust makes it the right choice if it is only needed occasionally.
• Stainless steel (AISI 304) - ideal as a 
• Main anchor for ships where there is little space and/or which do not anchor frequently (e.g. no anchor locker, no bow roller) 
• Secondary anchor that is used frequently - e.g. in tidal waters, anchorages with wind shifts, the Swedish archipelago (stern anchor), ... and where the small stowage volume is an advantage.
• Anchor in warm waters as stainless steel has a higher corrosion resistance than galvanised anchors
