Always Know How Much Anchor Chain Has Been Deployed

To keep track of the deployed anchor chain length, many boat owners rely on paint, cable ties, or other temporary marking methods. While these solutions work in principle, they require regular maintenance. Paint markings wear away through contact with the windlass, chain locker, and seabed. Cable ties can become damaged, break, or get lost and therefore need to be replaced regularly.

Screw-fit anchor chain markers provide a much more durable solution. Installed directly into the chain links, they remain securely in place even under regular use. This allows you to identify the deployed chain length quickly and reliably at any time – a valuable advantage when anchoring in varying depths and conditions.

• 6 mm anchor chain

The markers must match the size of the chain to ensure a secure fit and reliable performance.

Which Size Do I Need?

Measure the diameter of a chain link using a caliper. The measured wire diameter corresponds to the required marker size (6 mm, 8 mm or 10 mm).

If you are unsure, the chain size can often be found in the specifications of your windlass or in the documentation supplied with your anchor chain.
