NOA A-Frame for Winter Boat Covers 6–13 m

NOA A-frames are specially designed for sailboats and motor boats where no pulpit, pushpit, or surrounding rail system is available for mounting a traditional deck frame system. In addition, many of these boats do not have a surrounding deck or gunwale where conventional deck supports could brace against.

Smaller motor boats, open boats, fishing boats, long rowing boats, trailer boats, and compact sailboats especially benefit from this flexible winter cover solution.

The telescopic A-legs are positioned securely on the ground at the bow and stern of the boat and carry the main load of the frame construction. This helps prevent wind and snow loads from being transferred directly onto the boat. Additional deck supports rest against the deck, gunwale, or cockpit to provide extra stability.

The elevated construction lifts the cover significantly, allowing rainwater and snow to drain more effectively while maintaining good airflow and ventilation underneath the cover.

All supports are connected to the ridge tube using strong T-connectors. The modular design allows the system to be extended, customized, or shortened if required. Ridge tubes can easily be cut to length using a hacksaw.

Versions for different boat sizes

Basic 6–8 m

Compact hybrid solution combining an A-frame and deck frame for smaller boats up to approx. 7.5–8 m.

The kit includes:

• 4 × ridge tubes, each 2.0 m
• 3 × straight tube connectors
• 2 pairs telescopic supports 2.0–3.30 m
• 1 pair telescopic supports 1.5–1.90 m

Depending on the setup, the system can be used either as an A-frame or as a deck frame.

A-Frame 8–10 m

For larger motor boats and sailboats without pulpits or pushpits.

The kit includes:

• 5 × ridge tubes, each 2.0 m
• 4 × straight tube connectors
• 2 pairs telescopic A-legs 2.0–3.80 m
• 3 pairs telescopic deck supports:
  • 2 pairs 1.25–2.10 m
  • 1 pair 1.5–2.60 m

A-Frame 11–13 m

For larger boats and demanding winter storage applications.

The kit includes:

• 4 × ridge tubes, each 2.0 m
• 2 × ridge tubes, each 2.5 m
• 5 × straight tube connectors
• 2 pairs telescopic A-legs 2.5–4.80 m
• 3 pairs telescopic deck supports:
• 1 pair 1.25–2.10 m
• 2 pairs 1.5–2.60 m

Important Notes

• The frame should generally be selected slightly longer than the boat itself. If necessary, the tubes can easily be shortened.
• The telescopic deck supports and A-legs each consist of a 35 mm and a 30 mm tube that slide into each other. For improved stability, we recommend not extending the supports fully.
• The T-connectors used to attach the supports to the ridge tube are made of aluminum and secured with stainless steel bolts. To help prevent galvanic corrosion between aluminum and stainless steel, we recommend using grease, oil, or products such as TEF-GEL (available in our shop).
